Multi-Piece Rims: Demounting and Mounting

(18 min.) This training program is designed to alert you to the hazards of multi-piece rims and to provide basic guidelines for safely using and servicing these types of wheels. Your company has specific work rules and procedures; therefore, it's up to you to follow the specific rules of your organization. In all cases, follow the manufacturer's specifications.

Topics included in this safety video are: basic safety precautions, safety inflation cage, clip-on chuck with an in-line air pressure cage, multi-piece rim and tire assembly, deflating the tire, component of the multi-piece rim, never use a metal hammer on rim components,removing the split rim from the wheel, remounting the tire assembly on the rim, remount the split ring, inspect the assembly, if the split ring isn't seated properly, we require the valve core install when you inflate any tire.
