Safe Operations of Motor Vehicles

(20 min.) The sad story is there are a lot of accidents, injuries, and fatalities on our nation's roads and freeway systems. There are almost as many causes of accidents as there are accidents. That's what this program's all about, to help remind each and every person who operates a motor vehicle, be it 18-wheelers, trucks, vans, or any type of motor vehicle about some of the more important responsibilities each of us have as vehicle operators.

Topics included in this safety video are: basic rules, each state has their own rules, laws and, regulations, driver license, registration certificate, insurance certification, accident kit, spare tire, First Aid supplies, doors, seat belt, when starting from a parking place, when driving on the road, fast lane, far right lane, when using the on-ramp to a freeway, high occupancy lanes, double yellow stripe, maximum speed limit, other drivers, change lanes safely, tailgating, emergency vehicles, "Hollywood" stops, pedestrians, parked vehicles, handicapped spaces, parking brake, curbs, crosswalks, speed limits, accidents, renting a vehicle, drinking alcoholic beverages, and toll-booths.
