Disaster Workers Code of Safe Practices

Disaster Workers Code of Safe Practices (17 min.) Today's training program is to review some basic guidelines and a code of safe practices to help each disaster worker protect themselves and their co-workers during times of emergency. Safety and health are very important issues, not only to the people who are victims of disasters, but also to the professionals who render emergency services. Your safety and health are important to the victims as well as to yourselves, your families and to the agencies for which you provide these services. There are many dos and don''ts involved in any operation and we certainly can''t list them all in one short training session.

Topics included in this safety video are: basic Code of Safe Practices, safe practice rules, render every possible aid to safe operations, and report all unsafe conditions or exposures to supervisors or public safety agencies, drugs or intoxicating substances, over-the-counter drugs, mental alertness and ability, Hydrogen Sulfide or H2S, licensed and trained, injuries should be reported immediately, back pain, personal protective equipment.

Program comes with a CD-ROM of written materials, including test questions and answers. English title also includes PowerPoint presentation.
